We’re inviting you to to our Online Concept Workshop together with Wikimedia and Snøhetta.
A concept is the foundation of all visual communication in general and branding in particular. It is about finding the core of what the project is, and is therefore a process that depends on a close interaction with you. During our time together we will explore, map out and visualize the concept for Wikimedia – more importantly this is a chance for you to tell us who you are as an organization and movement.
We are looking forward to spend this time together with you to learn, share and co-create.
The concept is a way of compressing all information from the strategy into one coherent and holistic expression that set the foundation for all creative outtakes. We use our work process Idea Work, which has been developed in collaboration with Sintef, in all our projects. This 3 hour concept workshop is a highly inclusive and participatory process, using the strengths of people from both Wikimedia and Snøhetta.
Wikimedia will present current strategy and business case. The pictogram exercise will further help participants to describe how they see the organization.
Seeing the big picture matters to our ideas and the same groups will work with conceptual springboards to make the complex more understandable.
Groups will collaborate together to visualize the concept.
In the video, Martin Gran from Snøhetta explains the thinking behind the methodology and tool-set we use in our concept workshops.
We use Zoom for the video call, because it allows us to split large groups into smaller groups. In order for this to work you need to download the app: Zoom Client for meetings.
The workshops will be recorded for internal documentation and sections may be used as content to update and share with the community at large about the process of the project. Please let Essie at email@example.com know if you would prefer not to be featured in any content following the workshop.
Snøhetta is a transdisciplinary design and architecture agency incorporated with offices in Oslo, New York, Paris, Hong Kong, Adelaide, San Francisco and Innsbruck. Our work strives to enhance our sense of surroundings, identity and relationship to others and the physical spaces we inhabit, whether feral or human-made. Museums, digital or physical products, reindeer observatories, graphics and virtual landscapes get the same care and attention. Our disciplines and services ensures a holistic result to any brand, space or building. Making sure concepts, products or services live beyond the physical or digital space and inhabit the minds of the users and consumers.
Our work, regardless of graphic design, interior, landscape or architecture, are projects where concepts are nurtured. Snøhetta employs a transdisciplinary approach where multiple professions work together to explore differing perspectives on the conditions for each project. A respect for diverse backgrounds and cultures is a key feature of the practice; reflecting this value, Snøhetta is composed of designers and professionals from around the world.
